The talk explores global entrepreneurship through the lens of the eco-brand, Dzukou which was started during the pandemic. We started by designing our brand after conducting market ethnographic studies and user studies to find the market gap where we wanted to fit in. We also planned our products and strategized our product mix to bootstrap efficiently. That is exactly when the global Covid-19 pandemic hit. We then operated from different countries and hedged our risks by opening up operations globally. That is the time when we decided to go global without investing in millions. We also figured out how many functions to retain in-house and how much to outsource as a young company.
The presentation looks at when a startup should start seeking investors, what the possible avenues and how to get started planning for external financing.
