Our "Silk Innovation" project helps traditional Eri silk weavers in North East India to fight climate change and competition from factories through innovation with vegan silk. We work to bring out new weaving techniques that can add value to the handwoven textile. We also try to revive age-old weaving patterns. In future, we will experiment with infusing plant-based silks into Eri silk to help the weavers mitigate supply chain issues caused by climate change.
